They secured a Welsh Assembly grant to buy the premises for £185,000 and by next month they hope the bar will re-open to customers following extensive electrical and plumbing work and redecoration. Patrons of holidays in Wales will welcome the news that the popular 18th century inn will be back in business soon. Its closure has had a big impact on the economy and social life of the community, and, once its restaurant, function room and nine bedrooms are available again, the enterprising villagers and their supporters, foresee a resurgence of tourist trade.
